“The Non-Quasisplit Case” opens a space where inconspicuous signs generate narratives that demand attention. Pavement, crack-fillings, and traces of wear are transformed into marks and images, interpreted and translated – in a process where the street’s own voice is allowed to emerge.
Within a parafictive scenario, the exhibited works are transformed into speculative stanzas through an algorithmic reading. The participants’ acts of visual excavation are elevated into an unexplored textual weave, while humor functions as a counterpoint to the convoluted unfolding.
The traces play with reality in a composition that invites the audience not merely to observe but to experience the displacements – to move, listen, discover, and act as active participants in the work’s process. As a visitor, one steps into a living, shifting structure where signs, exhibition, and meaning are constantly changing character.
